To those whom it may concern, a rather good-looking World War 2 BF2 mod is in development. You may have already heard of it or you may already be watching it, but this is to those who are looking for a decent BF2 mod. Might not be too long till it's released. It has quite a large amount of content, including a fun assortment of vehicles.

I know it probably won't compare to this game, but hey, it might be released earlier, so that you can have something to play while you wait.

It's just gonna keep us occupied, but it looks cool. Hopefully if tacticalgamer hosts a server for the mod and won't be empty, that's what happened to the RO server:( .

Yea i was suprised it never took off at tacticalgamer while bf2 did, maybe its down to the lack of a squad system in ro which makes it hard to use squad type tactics but hey maybe in the future the devs said their thinking about a squad system.

Forgotten Hope has always been a great mod, I'm still prefering Forgotten Hope for 1942 over BF2. It's simply more fun and more accurate

Are you serious? Is this the first time that you heard of FH? Its one of the most successful BF1942 mods of any time and other BF2 mods will rather have to compare to this than the other way round.

krAzu, I believe you misunderstood what I said, if that last comment was to me.

I never said that I haven't heard of it before. I played the one for BF1942. I was saying that it probably won't compare to this game: 1944 D-Day. I just felt like sharing it with the community of WW2 people to wait for this game.

By the way, if you're trying to download it, just keep in mind that you'd probably be downloading the BF1942 version. The BF2 version is still being made.

FH is fun on infantry maps, unfortunatly after the first release of it it turned a lot of it's attention to tank maps, which aren't all that fun. When FH is mostly infantry it is extremely fun but with tanks and such, its just meh. since the first release of FH2 is going to be Afrika only it will definatly have almost all tank maps and probably just be ok. once they get different theaters in (please Italy!) and more infantry based maps, then it should be fairly fun.

What I find fun in FH is especially the tank maps as they give a fairly good show of how the tanks were compared to each other. It's not like other WWII games, here you can't expect to survive long if you are in a sherman and up against a Tiger or Panther. And you can't expect your tanks to survive in the open if the enemy has control of the air. That makes it somewhat realistic which I think is good.

I have never played FH for 1942, but I have heard that it is easily THE best mod for 1942. The thing was though, as soon as i bought 1942, BF2 came out, so I didn't see the point in downloading it. I shall, however, download it for BF2 when it comes out, because it looks soo awesome!!

FH is the definitely the best mod for 42 and will probably be the same for BF2

Still nothing in comparison to 1944 but.. what is?

They do have a large varity of tanks, and they are very realistic in how they behave, I just find infantry battles much more fun than tank wars.
