The death of a person is a shock to us all. I hope he finds what he was looking for.

This seems like an ever increasing trait with mod devs. My condolences to his family for their loss.

Well I never heard of him before, but I am shocked nonetheless...
But somehow it seems a bit strange that his family's got the strength and spend so much time talking to some guys on the net who never actually met him. Id surely not take care of the members of the forums or IRC channels my son browsed and chatted on if I was them. At least I know I didnt even turn on my computer when my father passed away, I totally lost my mood for some months till things started to get better. Must be even more horrible if your son or brother commits suicide.
Whatever...

Yeah I always wonder about these "internet deaths" it's all so anonymous. Nevertheless, a very sad thing. Rest in peace.

I was also wondering that. There was a bunch of family members posting on the mod forums...

Aye. When another mod dev about 5 months ago committed suicide his 'fiance' e-mailed and chatted with his fellow mod devs. Seems a bit odd to me. When my cousin died (from natural causes) his fiance could barely talk to anyone.

I never knew the guy, but being a big part of the mod community, you can really feel something like this and how it hits people - its the same sort of situation if a friend of a friend dies, who you didn't really know.
My condoleneces to his family and everyone that knew him. Its sad that he chose to take his own life
RIP
