Check out the HD walkthrough. I hope the commentary guy was serious about flanking and didn't exagerate like the MOH team did for PA's AI shifting from cover(which didn't make much of a difference for tactical play).

It looks like a really cool game. And who hasnt wanted to blow up things in a Las Vegas casino?

R6 died with lockdown. not even close to Tom Clancy's original vision. totally arcady. Ghost Recon is going the same way

I second that, totally down hill. Cant go wrong with SWAT4 though, they only seem to get better and better, and not lose focus.

SWAT 4 is very enjoyable. Nothing greater than playing it on LAN with 4 friends and yourself on the hardest difficulty with lots of caffine

To be honest, (starting with Raven Shield, but it wasn't as bad as the rest) all the Rainbow Six games have gone on a downward spiral, and looking at this game, it's no difference.
It's turned into a simple run and gun game, where yes, you probably could use your squad, but you can probably do just as well by setting em to follow and just doing most of it themselves.
First the removal of pre-mission planning, now the Third person.. it's just getting less and less realistic as the series goes on.

Sad to hear i always liked rainbow six games and it looks like the series is dead to those who love the authenticity and realism of the originals.

it's because of coorporations. really starting with EA they realized they could half ass a game and people would still pay money for it. other companys followed in suit. when R6 and GR were released for the consoles they had to tone down the difficulty (for obvious reasons) and found that when people played them for the consoles they tried to turn it into a run and gun experience as they found that is what the majority of people on the consoles liked, and since that is where most of the games sales were based... tada! R6 lockdown and GR Ghost wars was born.
Right now the only game I have on 360 is GRAW, but this will be my next purchase.

well it would be ubi that would devleope it, so it would probably just be another run and gun shoooter. unless someone buys back the rights to the game and personally makes a huge effort to restore it to it's original glory its all over for R6 since ubi knows this new shit will sell, and better.
