Speaking of high exeptations...what do you think ot this upcomming game "Spore"? That's one heck of a project just like this right?
Seen the trailer yet? Not in-game, but I like it.

There's plenty of ingame footage. Hours of it. The GDC video, the Robin Williams video, the leaked E3 demo presentation. Just need to look around.

There's also no end of coverage on Gaming Steve.

I'm looking forward to this. The character creation mode especially. I'd love to see what is possible with that. It looked amazing.

ya there is a lot of futtage out there. i think that 1944 is more vast than spore though. im not looking foward too much for spore, ill test her out and what not. im guessing that its goign to get a high score. its been covered and hyped so much from gamming sites, its pretty much gauranteed to get a high score.

I will. The whole idea of the game is awsome if you ask me. To design your own creatures evolution! I wonder if it's possible to create an exact copy of a human?

The devs said that its impossible to make 100% of all the combinations properly functioning since the user chooses the individually animated bits and pieces, but finding a combination that will act oddly is half the fun of the game. They turned a bug into a feature:D

and Dark, 1944 doesn't hold a candle to Spore in terms of size. Nothing does that doesn't have randomly generated terrain. Spore is quite literally infinite in size.

Looks cool. So do you make your own creature then play with it?

That's maybe 1/8th of the game.

I would not really compare 1944 with Spore, because of at least two reasons:
1. Spore is about something completely diffirent and fictional, while 1944 is building up an historical and realistic world to play in.
2. Spore is made for a MUCH bigger audience. How many WW2 freaks there may be in the world, games that is fun for girls/boys/children/grownups will be getting a much wider responce.

As for me, I really look forward to both games.
