Cod 2!

Anyone have COD2 and want to have a game were we use tactics instead of run and gun styles?

Really the only server I used to go on before going on my clan's (the 75thRR) server was the 82ndAB server, which is heavily against running and gunning. If you have nothing to do with people from here, I heavily suggest it.

thats where i played tactics 82ndAB server. but its still kinda stupid becuase cod2 is pinpoint accuracy. u can look through a crack ofa door and pick people off. Cod2 and realism dont go together at all. the only way to play cod2 is arcady, aka bad

Well, like I was saying once, it's nice to blow off some steam with CoD2 by doing such.

Instead, the tactical realism combat doesn't really seem to World War 2-ish. I wasn't there, but still... I think the fact that everyone knows where each other is kinda kills the experience there.

there are like 2 american realism servers. 82nd and BHD i think are the names

82nd is nice, but the game is too flawed at its core to have a mod make up for it.

Sorry to say but i hate COD2 MP ... bleeding shotguns everywhere :(

The only time i really enjoyed it was when everyone started playing without the boom sticks ... am sorry to say but i miss the COD:UO exp.
people complained bout the smoke, arty and the tanks but they made it even more fun.

As for servers, i always use to play on the CanadianBlackWatch Server, really good comuinity ... if there cod server still up. They dont tolerate swearing etc though.

I gave up on CoD2. I was going to make a full Axis conversion of singleplayer like I did with my demo mod, but it just wasn't worth it.

As for the CoD1 expansion thing, I thought it was completely awesome, too. Awesome times at Foy, and I wish that IW would make a similar one for CoD2.

I will still say that CoD2 MP rocks the way it is and has great potential in the eSports scene. You shouldn't expect realism from a game that isn't trying to be "realistic". That's what 1944 will be ;)

I'd be up for a game but I am at a music festival this weekend, maybe some other time we can organise a match.

I still don't know if the devs tried to make COD realistic. They advertise it saying it is the most realistic WWII shooter out there, even though it's no where close.

I think they market it as "immersive" so it is realistic in a way, that's for sure. Just the weapons and stuff are not.

i play cod2 when im drunk because it is so simple and requires zero thought. I may be able to play on saturday.

I do still play MP CoD, but certainly prefer the servers who kick the bunny hoppers and have one shot kills (or at least a bit more realistic damage.). Don't you just hate emptying a clip into sombody and have them run off to be healed?:mad:
