I bought the Game world war 2 online awhile ago. The thing is is that I have to pay but I want to play it for a month or week without paying to see how it is. I mean I know the graphics suck ass but I mean still you know. So if anyone can give me a direct link or tell me facts ont he subject of free month without having to give credit card that would be great.

you can't. credit card is required, even for a free trial (to prevent people from constatnly playing without paying). it's pretty fun if you like a whole lot of realism though. beforewarned, it is very difficult and typically full of a lot of BS, and it's really only fun if you got a few friends to play with. i enjoy playing it during the summer though, definatly worth it.

I use to have it, but it's simply too much BS for $15 a month. Only times I had fun on it was when I was with a group of friends. Otherwise you are just running around for a half-hour only to get killed by some sniper.

I've been asking for one of them free 30 day trial keys on the forum for like a month now and no one even responds. I've been playing in the offline mode for for ever and I really wanted to try this mother out, but i'm not going to enter my cc info just to try the dam thing out.

I tried WW2 online for a day or two - took it back to EB after that, though. It was too difficult to get started, the graphics made my eyes bleed, and I don't have a joystick, so I couldn't use any of the vehicles. That's probably the main reason, the joystick absence.

Yeah you do need a joystick to have the most fun.

But i played for a while even got into a good squad. 3rd Fallschirmjager.

I played for 2 months, then uninstalled :(

Ive played WWIIOL since day 1 and did some BETA also ... The game was awesoem for everyone up untill not long ago when they started this brigade crap

Ive only played the Welcom back trials but based on that the game has gone way too far downhill

Tried the free trial with a few friends for a while. I can't say it was brilliant, although we did have some fun naval battles.

My advice is to wait for 1944 D-Day. ;)

Yeah I used to play this a lot, but its too complicated!
Man all I want to do is get straight into the meat grinder and get fighting, not endure half hour long plane flights only tto get shot down by some fighter who is better than me.

i think the highlight of the game for me was when i got into a dogfight with a spit and shot it down with just a keyboard and mouse

yeah you definatly need a joystick if you want to do ANY vehicals or planes. also the birgades are FTL. WW2OL is one of those games you'll either love or hate and really the only way to know is to play it for about a month. It does get more fun as you play it more often.

I remember when I was on the lookout for a game just like ww2ol but without the crappy graphics and monthly payments.. I found it ;)

I considered trying ww2ol, but the cost always put me off from doing so.

I have been playing WWIIOL for at least 3 years and have been playing it ever since. The game has a very deep learning curve and bad graphics but I still like it no matter how bad it is. 1944 D-Day and WWIIOL could be good competition, but 1944 D-Day will surpass WWIIOL because of more content and better graphics.

And most importantly, the lack of subscription fees

I like how 1944 will be just as difficult and frustrating as WWIIOL, and people on the 1944 forums are complaining about WWIIOL being too hard and too frustrating...

Ya really lol, people are complaining about long flights just to get shot down. It'll happen in 1944 too people! Only there will be flak cannons, though you can crash land but then again! You might not survive that.. But you might have a parachute! Then.. you could get caught in a tree and have your neck snapped, or land near enemy troops. Behind enemy lines and waste time running around just to be seen and shot at. There will be a lot of complaining, unless you wait for the beach, i'd love the way TO the beach just as much as running up it. I'll enjoy being a canadian paratrooper, and the ride there and i know it might sound weird but i'll be exited when i leave the plane. and i'm going off topic a little so i'll stop lol.

:O That was a few long sentances, you ramble way too much friend :p. From a few videos that I've seen of it, it looks kind of crappy. There was this guy playing as a french rifleman (the french had rifles? did they even have men :p? they usually held white flags no?) lol. It was really really bad, the ground was all one colour, and he somehow shot through the side of a halftrack at like 55meters and killed one of the passengers. Did I mention that the ground was all one colour? The colour puke makes?
