Well, I was thinking to make a good HL2 mod and I came up with one. I posted this on the HL2 forum but got no replies yet so I'll post it here.


Half Life 2: Alternate Endings

The mod will put you in the boots of a resistance commander trying to take any remaining people out of City 17. There will be two endings two the mod, one ending in tragedy but inflicting serious damage to the Combine, and one successfully completing the mission, but letting the Combine forces grow. The choice is yours…

The mod will feature realism like no other HL2 mod. There will be no crosshair, you will be shooting from the hip, or aiming by bringing up the sights. You will be able to give commands to your squad, and certian parts of the mod will be open ended. Meaning that lets say you go into the East part of C17. You will be able to go wherever you want in that part. (example: you can choose to go up into a house and pick of enemies, or leave a few people to do that and charge up the middle. Or flank around, the choice is yours.) We will need some help with this mod, we are thinking of incorporating different types of combine platoons/battalions, and lots of new areas of C17.

No offense to you, but please, consider. This is a WW2 forum. Not a Half Life Forum.



I know you want to start your mod idea, but honestly, unless you already are friends with modellers/texturers or can do some yourself, don't bother starting one.

Just saving you some agro down the line.
