The Caesar 4 build is still nowhere near a stable and complete product, but I still spent hours making Narbo stable and flourishing. And once it gets off on a good footing, the fires start. You staff more prefects, you need to expand your Pleb housing, which ends in an entire district of pleb housing and then more equite housing to fill the needs of the health and happiness of your plebs.

And of course to fund all of this you'll need to expand your industry, trade, and really build more markets to bring in more money. More markets don't generate more spending power among the populace, but having a marketplace closer to home and not having to walk across town to buy some spoons will mean more frequent trips, especially if you increase the wages to give them a little more spending power.

And, the end all say all, is in your exporting industry. Everything avaliable is needed, buy what you want to pile on is the Timber, Iron, Gold, and Weapons. The larger your surplus, the more you can export and still meet demands in Rome for timber and weaponry. I had three weapons factories, five timber camps, five iron camps, and three gold camps leading my industrial sector, I could make shipments to Rome without even sweating it, and I was making thousands of denarii each time the carts came to my trading posts(it helps to keep them on the other side of the river, shorter trips).

Caesar IV, like the rest of the Caesar and Pharoah series, is incredibly deep and doesn't, like contemporary equivalents, place a focus on the military. I can't wait for the full version.
