I think WWI would be a exellent mod for this game. Just think of miles of trenches and full blown charges on a enemy position.
Anyone WWI mods in the works?
Somme would be sweet for a mod!

When I first saw this I thought it said wii XD.
A World War 1 FPS would be awesome..yet..for a realistic one..not sure.
Soldiers most of the time spent hours upon hours in trenches, just taking tons of mortar and artillery fire.
Bastogne was kind of like WWI but it was with foxholes..you dont move..you just shoot the other guys in the trenches,a nd get the heck out of the wya of mortars and such.
But I think it could get VERY VERY intense, and be a really educational mod. I hope people take it up, ill even pay to play it :-D

Well the trench this is what they did during the war, if you took command, you might get a few platoons to do that, stay in their trench and nade the hell out of them, while you take other men and flank the enemies.

This or the French and Indian war or any mod with muskets for that matter would be nice!

It looks good, and the right gme to do it on. You could have set server times for charges.

Honestly, a WW1 mod wouldn't fit 1944 D-Days mechanic.
Think of it this way: It models 100% of what happens. That means that your man could spend upward of a week just sitting in a trench, doing nothing. Then about five minutes where you go through about 20 players worth of death. Then another age of waiting.
It was called a war of attrition for a reason.

If you are going to do a WW1 mod, it would have to be set on a large scale attack, not just random trenches, for example the attack on the Somme, or the large scale warfare in the Ypres Salient.

Bu the somme was a failure. If it worked out the same and you didnt use the benfit of hindsight you would sitll be cut down like grass.

It wasn't a failure, I mean, look at how well the French did on the first day. Well.. Yea, it was a failure...
