If you're not afraid of a bit old but completely adequate graphics and some AWESOME gameplay you can try these two things out:


TA Spring (open-sourced Total Annihilation in 3D engine). (http://taspring.clan-sy.com/) I recommend you to read the User Manual (http://taspring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Using_Spring#FPS_.22Mode.22_.28C.29) to really exploit all the options the interface offers (it will really help you to do the job easier)

TA Spring is old, made by swedes and TOTALY cool! I'll download it as soon as I get my computer running! cheers!

Total Anihilation that RTS game made longggggggggg ago? If so i remember that game totally sweet, this looks quite impressive as well.

One game my brothers and I always played at my cousins house on Sega was Super Street Fighter 2. WE loved the hell out of that game.
Nowadays you can download it for 3mb.
Just google it.

Total Anihilation that RTS game made longggggggggg ago? If so i remember that game totally sweet, this looks quite impressive as well.

GameSpy gave it number one in top ten strategies. After playing TASpring I realized why (already after reading the user manual).

Supreme Commander is the next strategy to succeed Total Annihilation and by what I've read and seen it's going to be like nothing else aroud.

Its not entirely free. You need TA to play TASpring.

No, I just downloaded the game and it works without owning the originial CD. Unless it's about copyright issues.
