They are V1 rocket fuel containers from a V1 launch site which was under construction.

At first sight they appear to be water boilers.

The quote in French is the description of the photograph from Archives Normandie 1939-45 (http://www.archivesnormandie39-45.org/)

Sorry:o They're decompression chambers for divers.:p Or perhaps pasteurisation vats for milk.;)
Personally I would keep highly volatile rocket fuel in a bucket.
Here are all the images I could find re the V1 and V2:

No need to make fun of me... I dont know if you speak french, but it just says that theyre aluminium "receptacles" located at a V1 launch site.

What do you think they're for? A bit over engineered for water tanks. And receptacle just means a container, it's very vague.
Btw I'm Australian so you should assume I'm taking the piss with every single thing I say.:)

Lol jeez I dont know what theyre for, all I wanted to detect is that we cant be sure that theyre fuel tanks for the V1's. Dont wanna be a smartass, but keep in mind that thats what this thread is all about ;)

The containers are most likely liquid oxygen tanks.

V2ROCKET.COM (http://www.v2rocket.com/)
ahh someone would climb into one of thoes.. but if they are only decomp tanks.. why are they being hidden by camo? i doubt the germans had any intrest in that, i think they are liquid rocket fuel.
