I saw something about the tiger, which said that it could not fire on the move. Is that true? I saw it on a WWII show, i only caught it in the middle so i didnt know what they where talking about. Im asking alot of odd questions lately, mostly for my mod for CoH. Im trying to make it as real as possible. Also, there is a big amount of people that hate the tiger in CoH, because it is so powerful. If it is true that it cant fire while on the move then it will make my mod that much better and satisfy the people who want it dumbed down, but to still be realistic.

Most likely, considering that the kick of the 88 would knock the treads off if they weren't stable.:D

The Tiger I could fire whilst on the move, however god knows where the round would end up. If it was travelling along one of Hitler's Autobahns then it might have a chance of hitting something but on an uneven surface, no chance.
Some US M4s had gun stabilisers to keep the gun at a constant angle of elevation even though the tank was covering uneven ground. The crew generally disconnected the stabiliser as the gun breech would travel up and down inside the turret as the tank moved over uneven ground creating the danger for the gunner and loader of being knocked out by the rapidly moving gun.

Sure it can, although as stated chances of it hitting something i would have assumed would be dramacticaly changed though.
Ive seen people make a guess at a chance of hit while on the move is around the 10% mark. But i beieve one could assume such a percentage could be higher or lower depending on the speed the tank was travelling.
Iirc, i've read that the tank could not aim while moving, but again one could, what would seem to be a safe assumption that, that depends on the speed the tank was traveling.
Also heres some pics showing the gun ranges and chance of hiting etc, from some Japanese version of the Tigerfibel iirc

Normal procedure was to use the Panzerkiel, whereby a group of panzers would carry out "fire and manouvre". The first tank would fire and move, the second would fire and move and so on...
However, the Tiger could fire on the move, so long as the vehicle was moving slowly, generally when Tigers fired on the move, it was with the turret rotated so the gun fires off the port or starboard sides. The problems you have with firring on the move are:
A) The amount of dust the vehicle picks up, and specifically the dust picked up by the blast of the gun firring.
B) The Tiger I rocks on its suspension when firring, firring forwards whilst moving forwards causes the vehicle to loose stability and possibly plant the muzzle in the ground.
