Well evolution is taught in schools, but my local church teaches creationism. But its not like that is going to change, and I don't really care either way if it does or not.

Lol, it's not impossible for Candians, you guys are cool and ure welcome to crash here whenever u want. However, Its nearly impossible for Mexicans (to get a greencard)

The problem is, there are so many Mexican families (who have it bad in Mexico) that flock across the boarders illegally, that the gov. has almost completely closed off legal registration in the Us to them ( distibution of green cards)
Not to mention, many of these families (that can barely speak a shred of English) are required to take an exam before they are granted citizenship. It may be very simple (actually it probably has questions about American history I couldnt even answer) but I'm sure its very intimidating for those that dont even know what they are doing.

There are scientifically valid explanations to that from a creationists point of view.

I'll agree, its not wise to force religion in every school in a nation which is not mostly one religion. However, having set religious schools is good as it gives the option to parents on where to send their children.

But dropping the Holocaust is not about religion, it is about correct historical factual teaching. It is the same with the crusades. They happened. Get over it. If you are ashamed of what has happened to your country in the past, then try to make your country better in the present.
