Is 1944 D-Day a Scam?

No, 1944 D-Day is not a scam, it is being developed by an independent team who have a desire to create an accurrate depiction of WW2. While we are aware that there are countless WW2 titles currently on the market, covering all possible genre's and platforms. We feel that the full scope of Operation Overlord has never been told, so we feel it only right to do it justice.

1944 D-Day was started by myself (Ronan Hayes). I have a Diploma in Software Engineering, a BSC in Computer Science and currently taking a Masters Degree in Computer Science majoring in AI & Networking. I have 2 years web & application development, as well as 2 years development experience with Ericsson's creating Telephone Exchange Network Software. Finally I have been developing Engine and Tools tech for Krome Studios for the past year.

Game Development is a very complex thing, it takes a team of very talented people working fulltime together to develop fun, creative, polished games. So it should make sense that a development team over the internet would take substantially longer, as well as hitting several more communication and staffing issues than a fulltime studio. After all we live in different time zones, work in our spare time and work around our own personal schedules.

With 1944 we only have one chance to do it right, this takes time, money and alot of hard work. Just because we feel it best to hold back screenshots and videos until we are ready to show the best we have, does not make it a scam. It just makes good business sense, EA, UBI and other publishers do not release media until they are ready, so why should we?

Remember you are on this forum because you are intersted in the game, the subject matter, being part of a community or even just passing by. We are not forcing you to be here, we are not charging you to be here. If you feel that 1944 is a scam then you need to look at the project more closely, why would we develop so much content, pay contractors to develop content for us, and license the best technology out there? If you still feel it's a scam after looking at all of the evidence then please feel free to move on, as there is no point becoming a forum Troll and we are sure you can find more productive things to do with your time.

There is simply no arguement. 1944 D-Day is not a scam.
