No, Patton faked his own death and is back in action.

I don't think so. I like the speech, it's the stance we should be taking.

I bet if Patton didn't die, he could have run for President. Probably could have won too, if he didn't curse the other guy out.

He's right! I think the speech was supposed to be serious. And it is the stance we should be taking. I mean look at the real video from the movie Patton. That was a reenactment of his real speech, and we won didn't we? We did a great thing for the world. Now who's right here: the Muslim extremists who will kill you if you don't believe the Koran, or the people who protect you from them? Fucking liberals.

Also the liberals fail to mention how many people Saddam has killed. Whether we went there for wrong reasons or not we took out a terrible dictator who killed hundreds of thousands. So Iraq is fucked up right now. It will stabalize in a matter of time. It's sad that the country with one of the most powerful militaries on Earth is brought to its knees when the libs start rallying. It will only get worse if Hillary takes office.

I have to watch the bit at 4min again :p

All the Liberal bashing, in regards to the position of this vid. One would like to point out that the right wingers may not want to admit that certain generals ... who shall go unnamed :p actaully prolonged the war by not doing as he was told, stealing supplies, not releasing units when told to ... which would have allowed another certain General get his men across the Rhine and into the Rhineline before winter ...

:p

Or be tried for war crimes because he flattened Sadr City. Back then, Donald Rumsfeld would have seemed like a bleeding heart liberal. This is the era of Dresden and Hap Arnold, the era before the whole concept of proportional response and military responsibility.

Let's also not forget that Patton was this close to bringing America to war with the Soviets, thank god MacArthur and Eisenhower were responsible for Korea, at least they had a modicum of diplomacy. MacArthur was just as much a right-wing elitist as Patton, but he knew the politics behind being one of the leaders of the US military. That's why he's remembered more for Korea and World War II than encircling and attacking a group of World War I veterans who wanted their promised compensation at a time they needed it the most.

Oh, and the age of nuclear weaponry has kinda come and gone. They're just horribly inefficient weapons because they're logistically impossible. Biological and chemical weapons are not only far easier to produce and move around, but they also have drastically higher kill ratios, and can cripple a nation's food supply in one blow.

The only realistic threat of actual use of nuclear weapons is going to come from India and Pakistan, and we have the UN to grab both nations and pull them away from eachother when things get touchy. Without it, we'd easily see a nuclear equivalent of the Thirty Years War.

All in all, I like the impression. Its not Bill Hader, but its still good.

Not even that, they leave the infurstructure intact and theres no worries about fallout ... you just walk right on in there and setup shop :)

I actually think the development of nuclear weapons has caused the World to be International Appeasers (IA). This caused everyone to think that if we move in to a country to overthrow the dictator we'll get the shit nuked out of us. That's caused a great amount of dictators to get their rise in power, and every UN sanction is just a smack on the rise and doesn't get jack shit done. (Seen with Saddam in Iraq)

One day a dictator (much like Irani guy) will have the gutts to stand up to these IA, just as Hitler did, and we could have another Holocaust, which I'm sure none of us want.

So we should attack every country that is govern by a dictator? Why not start with china then?

I find the "attack them before they attack us" logic quite funny. I would love to see you try that one in court and see if you can get away with murder.

There's no such thing as an Irani in the nation of Iran, and the fact that you don't even know Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's name makes me question your knowledge on the subject. And to call Ahmadinejad a dictator is nothing but laughable, Iran is an actual republic, checks and balances included. The Iranian citizens even have their own Electoral College for the Supreme Leader. And not only that, the Iranian electoral college(called the Assembly of Experts) actively reviews the actions of the Supreme Leader and can, in effect, remove him from power at any time. As for Ahmadinejad, his every policy action requires direct approval from the Supreme Leader.

And Moseman, you can get right off that high horse of yours. You talk about Iran, yet say nothing about Equatorial Guinea, which the State Dept is actively pursuing as a potential ally because they have gigantic amounts of oil. Equatorial Guinea is an honest to God dictatorship and the human rights atrocities happening there are far worse than in Iran. Eq Guinea remains a one-party state with the PDGE keeping the nation in a vice grip, and Mbasogo runs unopposed in his elections. If we went into Iraq to remove the Ba'ath party from power, why are we fucking courting this nation?

I happen to know Ahmadinejad's name, I just think it's too damn long and so freaking hard to pronoun, and secondly, I've never heard of Equatorial Guinea. I'm not denying it's exististance, I just haven't heard of it before.

Psst, I heard this rumor that Equador and Guinea are on different continents. Don't let anyone else know, though.
