The movie also includes story from unit 731, but that is so disgusting and heart wretching I don't dare watch it myself. I know what happened, I don't want to have to see it again.

Ignorant Japanese claim this to be Chinese propaganda and some even laugh at what they percieve to be lies to convince how brutal the Japanese were. The movie was showed infront of a group of Japanese students, who were down-right disgusted by this propaganda. However they watched it again, this time in a room full of Japanese Veterans. They not only confirmed this movie to be historicly correct, but that the atrocities commited by the Japanese were far worse then showed in this film.

These clips are from the Nanking Massacre, a genocide that lasted for 6 weeks. In which 300 000 innocent chinese civilians were brutaly beaten, raped, burned, beheaded, stabbed, cut, gutted, proded and shot.

The Rape of Nanjing was only one of many atrocities commited by the Japanese in the Second World War.

Unit 731 is believed to have killed at most 200 000 individuals in the most monsterous manner.

The Japanese governement has never made any effort to educate thier populance since 1932 and have even sunk so low as to downplay their crimes and the suffering of 17,530,000 Chinese civilians under the hand of the Japanese arm.

Not even mentioning the death toll of Russians, Koreans and Americans.

They politicly continue to play the part of the victim because of the two atomic bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Heroshima and educate thier children as such. Which is not tasteful. The Japanese played the part of the villain and acted like the devil. They should be brought to justice and history should be rightfully recorded.

This most shameful act in mankinds darkest hour should not be let to rest. History should be recorded and tought to students. With the same level if not more so then the German Holocaust against the Jewish community. The ghosts of 1937 must stand trial. Justice must be brought to the victims.

I agree with you to a certain extent but the "Ghosts of 1937" are all pretty much dead. I think that the censorship that goes on in Japan regarding textbooks, education etc. should be stopped but who are you going to put on trial? The emperor? The current Prime Minister who was born after the war? The civilians themselves?
