Well they tried when she landed in the country and killed many, and this time they got the target.Had she stayed in the car,the bullet wound to the neck would not have happend, but had she lived it seems they would have kept trying for as long as possible.

Seems to be a few different reasons for her death, the bullet, the bomb shrapnel and the sunroof hitting her head.

Yeah some say it was the sunroof lever and no injuries at all, others say bomb shrapnel. Well only know in the coming months. Unfortunate loss for Pakistan.

Should have kept her hands and feet in the vehicle at all times, but the woman didn't listen! I mean but seriously, you don't stick your head out of a sunroof in the middle of a crowd in the middle east, when you are prominent.

Yea her security should have said no way, unless they where on the bad guys side and wanted her too.You know you cant trust anyone sometimes, but she just forgot and also they would have kept trying,so maybe on borrowed time not matter what.

It was exactly for that reason she did it. If you're not even going to make an effort to appear in public with the people you're trying to free from repression, what's the damn point? Her death was tragic and many will mourn her loss, but another will take her place and her cause will continue without her. She wasn't fighting so she could be safe from harm, she was fighting so that others would be.

It is a sad and unfortunate realization of nature that great people often die in the line of duty. Benazir Bhutto is one more to join the rank of Lincoln, Gandhi, King, two different Kennedys, and countless others. It is also important to note that their causes did not fail because they were killed. That's always been the problem with making martyrs. If anyone is in error here, it is al-Qaeda.

That's the way she wanted to be seen, not afraid to be seen in public even when her life is in danger. To send the message to her people that she won't be scared away. Of course it got her killed eventually but she'll be remembered positively because of it. I just hope it doesn't push the country into chaos.

What makes it nobler is that she knew this would happen sooner or later. She said a number of times that she probably would die.

If she wanted to make a difference she shouldn't of gotten herself killed. What happen's when people who wanted to do the same thing get scared and not make the difference needed? Now it will just take longer for it to happen.

People who wanted to do the same thing? Like her son? At the end of the day, martyrs always hold more sway than people who cower behind their bodyguards.

On a side note, her husband controlling the party is a probably not a good idea. He served prison time for embezzlement from Switzerland, and the only reason Benazir didn't was because Switzerland requested the Pakistani government to take action against her. That's the real reason behind her exile, not some political motive.
