Why is he critisising other countries that are helping to clean up his own mess?
I don't think US it's campaign is the right awnser to the ''problem'' in the middle-east. I only see more and more destabilisation...

Well I think NATO countries should re-enforce Afghanistan, but if I were them I wouldnt touch Iraq. That's America's problem. They also need to remember some countries dont have as many armed forces as America.

More Marines set to go to Afghanistan soon. I say an A-10 every 100 kilometers and we can get this taken care of quick.

If your going to bring your allies into war, you best treat them kind.

There is no rational solution thats going to solve the problem quick.

Way to go Gates...
British forces are dealing with one of the toughest provinces in Afghanistan and apparantly they are not up the job. What an idiot.

I think Iraq and Afghanistan proved that doesn't work. I think it's more about gaining the trust and help of the local people bit by bit so you can build up something. And don't force them to be the state you want them to be because that isn't going to work as well.

The man is obviously a moron.
I'd love to see his reaction and others if the rest of NATO/Allies were to pull out. Then there'd be the same uproar as was seen a while back from Washington when we (the Brits) were pulling troops out.

The way to defeat them in Afghanistan is what Eurofighter said, gain their trust, also bump up the amount of troops in the country. We don't need A-10's dropping 500 pounders on anything, we just need a way to track their movement into the mountains. They are doing the same thing the VC did in Vietnam, shoot....get shot at....then bury themselves, and guess what it worked so we have to find a way to counteract that. Iraq is our problem, I've been to both countries and believe me Iraq is not a lost cause. We need to hand over the control and move more troops into Afghanistan and make more allies in the mid east.

Lets hope that does happen so America leaves too...
Of course, that would only happen when Bush leaves office.
