Are you a Hardcore Gamer?

I am. I went as far as to get SEGA Tattooed on my leg. :)
I will post pics in a few... lol
Ya people think I'm crazy but I grew up on SEGA consoles and games, I still have my Master System with the 3D glasses that really work.

My first Online RPG was PSO on the Dreamcast, around the same time I got HL for my PC and everything changed, for the better. :D

I wouldn't go as far as getting a tatoo, but I am addicted to games, most of which are online and involve you shooting other people.

While I wouldn't call myself "hardcore", computer games are my primary source of entertainment when my buddies ain't around.

I wouldn't consider myself hardcore, but I do play quite a lot of games, mainly WW2 fps and stuff like OFP and I like to be part of good gaming related communities such as this one.

Well, since i own over 6 different gaming systems, and sit by the compy to play about 15 hours aday any given week, i would call myself hardcore. Or nerd. That will suffice too.

Started with an oldschool Nintendo with Mario/Duckhunt and Contra. And moved on from there.

Then half life came around and when my step brother wanted to see what "multiplayer game" was...life changed forever.

I started with Doom, Heretic and Wolfenstein 3D when I was 5...

But when I tried GoldenEye 64, my life also changed....
Then came Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and ka-pow inmediatly I became a gamer...

I wouldn't call myself "Hardcore", either (definately not as far as tattooing "Sega" on any part of my body). But I did start playing Wolf3D, Doom, and Quake1 (respectively) when I was about 5 or 6.

I dont care! Its old, so is my grandpa and he is cool! (r.a.f. flight sargent)

I would consider myself a hardcore gamer. my days of hardcoreness began with the sega aswell. NHLPA and RBI basball, it was great, I was hooked. I dont watch much tv at all, if I dont play games ill browse the net (mostly game realted). wolfenstein on the pc, buying floppies at milk stores, for the computer I got at Christmas.

online was a whole new world. my most intense gaming occured with online over the phone with friends. most of the time there was silence on the line, with my ear bent to my ear. tactics and 'holy shit i just fkucked that guy up' was the rest of the conversastion.

now its a lot of multiplayer, also doing more and more single player...

Wow, I'm getting old. I use to remember when I played tank commando on my atari 2600. I also played on the old commodore 64.

Oh God, judging by the time I spend (or waste) in front of the PC playing games, I better be classed as a hardcore gamer :P

by his standards i wouldnt consider myslef 'hardcore'

You accidentally sign your checks with your gamer screen name.
Your social calendar is filled with dates of LAN parties.
You turn down a date with the girl of your dreams to compete in a scheduled online gaming tournament.

ive never done or thought of doing any of the above things. although i have not gone out with friends because of a big match (I didnt tell them the real reason why I could not go out). never been to a lan either.

i base my categorization of 'hardcore' on people that i know and knowledge.

I ament exactly hardcore. I perhaps play 3 hours a day on school days and mabye 8 at weekends, and am always thinking about PC when I am away from it and what I will do when I get home.
