The entire purpose of the game is the simulate D-Day, or Operation Overlord and to be educational at the same time while holding a value of fun. There will be no "deathmatch" elements involved as far as I know and realism is kept in mind. The environment will be destructible and the developers are aiming to get 1944 D-Day: Operation Overlord as close to the real thing as possible.
Hope that answered your question.

Look good so far, also on moddb i noticed some vehicule interior, will that mean we will be able to enter the tank and see the ammo and the hoter crew?
Also, will there be an individual AI or a global AI..
(individual = i brain for eatch soldier...ex: a lone soldier wont know wath appen 15km away\global = i brain for the whole armie...ex :no interaction btw soldier as the game tell eatch soldier wath to do as the situation advance...)

Regarding to these forums you will be able to see what's happening inside the tank when you enter it. The AI will be more like individual I think. The soldiers won't know things automatically. As Onearmy said: "the developers are aiming to get 1944 D-Day: Operation Overlord as close to the real thing as possible."

All vehicle interiors are being developed. The simplest way to look at 1944 is that every object in the game has a set of properties. These properties relate to real world attributes of such objects.
So when you get into a tank you see the full interior and everything functions as you expect.
That's the plan, so we'll see how much we can do.

It's a combination, but it's abstracted in such a way that a line of communication must be maintained in order for individual units to know whats going on.

The map will be streamed, we are developing the map as 1 massive map, but we will need a way to split the map up to work within the engine and then stream it as required.

Maybe the technic does not involve C++.Anyway they said they will do it and by God they will do it.

If i remember correctly from very old posts Ronan is using C# but to be fair C++ is used in almost everything, it's just a case of knowing what you're planning to do and programming it correctly :)

Oh ok but of course the programming language should be backed up by some sort of extensions to fulfill what ronan is aiming for right?

You'd have to ask Ronan but programs don't neccessarily work like that. It varies.

As i do not remember Germany, France, America, or Great Britain having a nuclear asenal at that time in 1944 i would think it would not be necessary to put a nuke in 1944 D-Day. Thats just my opinion.. Anyone else?
